It must be a part of my vocabulary, but it still surprised me when my 5yo said, “I want slash need to do …”. She’s barely reading, and has certainly never typed / texted anyone ever.

“Slash?” Do we really say that? Just another subtle way text communication has infiltrated our spoken language.
